Robert Starrett

Robert Starrett is an independent CD-ROM author and consultant. He was formerly a Project Manager for the Optimus Corporation, Vice President of CD-ROM Access, Inc., and an Applications Engineer for Meridian Data, Inc. He is coauthor (with Dana Parker) of New Riders Guide to CD-ROM, CD-ROM Fundamentals, and CD-ROM Professional's CD-Recordable Handbook.

A columnist for CD-ROM Professional magazine ("The CD-R Writer"), he was responsible for acquiring the rights to and publishing the Colorado Revised Statutes on Disc, one of the first applications of CD-ROM in the legal field in the United States. In addition to having a private law practice, Mr. Starrett has worked as a senior systems analyst, lead programmer and senior programmer, and is the author of several legal software applications. He attended the University of Colorado School of Law, where he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Legal Aid and Defender program.
